Happy Earth Day!
Earth Day was founded on April 22, 1970, as a unified response to an environment in crisis — oil spills, smog, rivers so polluted they literally caught fire. People took to the streets, college campuses and hundreds of cities to protest environmental ignorance and demand a new way forward for our planet. The first Earth Day is credited with launching the modern environmental movement, and is now recognized as the planet’s largest civic event.
The theme for this year’s 50th anniversary Earth Day 2020 is climate action. Did you know one small way YOU can help make a difference is by turning off the water while you brush your teeth? No matter where you are, you can make a difference. And you’re not alone, because together, we can save the Earth.
